Exciting News!

We are delighted to announce the arrival of three new doctors at Cheddar Medical Centre. Dr Emma Ginn joined us recently and will be followed by Dr Miriam Walsh and Dr Amy Alsop in the summer.

As you may know Dr Hayward left us last year and her patients have been cared for by locum doctors in her absence. With the arrival of our new doctors we can begin the process of allocating a new usual GP to all of Dr Hayward's patients. If you are unsure of the name of your usual GP please speak to a member of our reception team who will be able to help.

Text Messaging Service

We are introducing a new text message reminder service! More information and instructions on how to sign up can be found at the bottom of our appointments page.

Non-English Speakers

These fact sheets have been written to explain the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum. They cover issues such as the role of GPs, their function as gatekeepers to the health services, how to register and how to access emergency services.

Special care has been taken to ensure that information is given in clear language, and the content and style has been tested with user groups.
