Flu Vaccinations

Flu season is here again! Speak to a member of our reception team today to book an appointment for your flu vaccination.

Improved Access-

See details of service under tab on the right hand side of this Home page.

We are now open between 6.30pm and 8pm on Tuesdays. Other practices are open at different times to improve access for patients.

 

National Diabetes Audit (NDA)

We are taking part in an important national project about people at risk of diabetes and diabetes care and treatment in the NHS. Details on the project and advice leaflets for patients who are diagnosed with diabetes and those at increased risk of diagnoses are under Quick Links on the right tabs here

If you do not want your information to be used, please inform the receptionist, your GP or nurse.

This will not affect your care.

Your Rights and Our Rights

We are suffering an increase in number of patients who feel it acceptable to be rude and abusive to our staff.

Please note updated information under heading 'Policies 'and sub heading 'Rights and Responsibilities' regarding what is acceptable at Cheddar Medical Centre. This will NOT be tolerated.

Prescription Requests-

Please be reminded that we require 72 hrs notice to enable requests to be processed.

NHS Direct (NHS 111 Service)
This free, 24 hour telephone service will give you advice and direct you to the most appropriate medical service in the area. Please call 111 or visit www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk

Pharmacy
Your local pharmacist can give you advice about a range of conditions. Please see the tab entitled "NHS and Other Free Services for more information on the Pharmac Minor Ailments Scheme

GP Surgery
The Surgery will give you advice and treatment for a wide range of conditions including management of long-term illness and help with lifestyle

Minor Injuries Unit
The Minor Injuries Unit can help with fractures, minor burns, sprains and minor cuts. You don’t need an appointment and will be seen in priority order. Your nearest minor injuries unit is at Glastonbury

Accident and Emergency and 999
These services are for medical emergencies, serious breaks and burns and other life-threatening conditions.
